See your child's notes & progress in the portal
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Your child's parent portal is more than a schedule — it's where you can follow how therapy is going between conversations with your care team. This article shows you where to look for session information and progress in the portal, and what you'll (and won't) see there.
Start on your Overview page
When you sign in, you land on your Overview page — your home base. It gathers up anything that needs your attention and is the best place to start. From the left-hand menu you can move into the different areas of your child's care, grouped under Patient Progress.
Where to look in Patient Progress
In the portal's left-hand menu, under Patient Progress, you'll find the pages that follow your child's care:
Schedule — your child's upcoming and past sessions, including who's providing them and any telehealth Join links. See "View your child's schedule."
Progress / data — where your child's goals and how they're trending over time are shown, so you can see movement between sessions.
Notes / documents — where shared session information and documents your care team has made available to you appear.
Exactly what appears here is set by your care team and your clinic. If a section looks empty, it usually just means nothing has been shared to the portal yet — not that anything is wrong.
Making sense of what you see
Goals and progress reflect the plan your BCBA built for your child. Trends move gradually — ABA progress is measured over weeks and months, not single sessions, so don't read too much into one data point.
Session details tell you what type of session happened (for example, a direct therapy session or a parent-training session) and who ran it.
The portal reflects what your care team has entered and chosen to share. Clinical records are created and signed by your providers, so there can be a short delay between a session and when its information appears.
If something's missing or unclear
What you're seeing | What it usually means |
|---|---|
A section is empty | Nothing has been shared to the portal yet — common early in care. It fills in as therapy gets going. |
A recent session isn't showing | There can be a short delay after a session before its information appears. |
You expected to see notes but don't | Not all clinical documentation is shared to the portal. Ask your care team what's available to you. |
You can't log in / don't see your child | See "Parent login and password help," and confirm your invite was accepted. |
Questions about your child's progress are best answered by the people who know your child — reach out to your care team directly. For help getting into the portal, see "Create your account and accept your invite" and "Parent login and password help."
